A Strasbourg darkwave debut
In & Out is the debut album by White Ritual, the French darkwave / electro-rock band from Strasbourg. It was released on 22 July 2022 through darkTunes Music Group â fourteen tracks recorded at Suprahead Studio, mapping tension, desire, abandonment, and ritual atmosphere from the opener Isis to the epilogue Under the Veil.
Official Bandcamp and label copy place the band at a crossroads of industrial alt-pop and witchhouse colour, citing influences such as Killing Joke, FKA twigs, and Chelsea Wolfe â thrilling beats and melancholic melodies rather than a frozen 80s museum piece. Lyrics lean into human complexity: love, doubt, life, death, and belief systems, told as a continuous storytelling arc.
